Booking is open

This is it! You’ve been very patient but booking is now open for a memorable 2017 ITI Conference in Cardiff. The response to the Call for papers was tremendous and  making a choice was harder than ever. We are confident that we will have a varied, balanced and inspiring programme for you. Be a little bit more patient while we turn the proposals into programme blurbs and publish them on this website over the next few weeks.

You will notice quite a few changes to the usual format, now and over the next few weeks. We have listened to your feedback and applied the lessons learned from previous conferences, especially the most recent ones at Gatwick and Newcastle.

This year, rooms will be larger but on different floors.

The one-day only option wasn’t very popular last time so we’ve scrapped it and introduced a Saturday morning ‘activity’ slot, between 08.00 and 10.00 to give you more time to do the really popular activities which have so far been crammed at 07.00 or at lunchtime, such as the ‘Singing Translators’, yoga, practical workshops etc. We hope that some of our language groups will use this to organise slams!

We didn’t do very well with the dinner last year and your comments on the poor quality of the food, which we totally agreed with, made us all the more determined to do much better. This year, we’re taking you out of the conference hotel, to the National Museum Cardiff, with pre-dinner drinks in the Impressionist Gallery. The downside is that places are limited, so do book early!

There is so much more information to come but we hope what’s here on this website now is enough to make you book.

See you again very soon.
