Activities at and around the Conference
As usual, ITI arranged a selection of activities for the Conference weekend, to help pass the time when delegates were not attending conference sessions.
House of Commons Tours
On Friday afternoon, there were two tours of the Houses of Parliament, each of which were fully booked.
These tours are always extremely popular, and this year was no different. Conference delegates from the UK and a number of other countries were amazed by the opulent surroundings of the Lords and the State rooms, while the opportunity to stand at the despatch box in the Commons was not to be missed!.
Network Dinners
Conference has traditionally been a time when members of ITI's various networks and regional groups get together
to meet up with old friends and make new ones. This year, we offered Network and Regional Group Coordinators the
option of booking a table at the Rembrandt Hotel through the ITI. Bookings were made for the Carvery at the Rembrandt
on Friday evening – the buffet-style nature of this location meant that those who are members of more than one
network could move from table to table. It was also a good opportunity for potential network recruits to talk to Coordinators
face to face. See the Network Dinners page for more details.
