Pamela Mayorcas FITI MScInfSc DipModLangs
A member of the 1984 working party which led to the founding of ITI and of the first Council, Pamela has been active in Institute affairs for almost all of its 21 years. She is currently Chairman of the Education & Training Committee in which role, and with the help of the staff at Milton Keynes, she relaunched the Professional Development Course and initiated ITI’s Continuing Professional Development Record. She has managed a number of ITI conferences, edited various Institute publications, including Conference Proceedings and supported the London Regional Group from its inception.
As a professional translator, she was employed first at the Foreign Office and then by the European Commission; now based in London with her teenage son, she undertakes freelance and consultancy assignments when time permits.
