Dr Ana Julia Perrotti-Garcia, LAEL, PUC – São Paulo (Brazil)
Ana Julia Perrotti-Garcia has been working with technical translations in the health area for a range of periodicals and websites, and has translated over 20 technical textbooks, for renowned publishing houses. Having graduated as a dentist from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and as a Translator and Interpreter from the United Metropolitan Faculties (FMU), she has the Specialist degree in Translation from the University of São Paulo, Brazil (Cetrad). Authored and published 6 dictionaries and 3 course books of ESP. She is currently working on the preparation of glossaries for specific needs and has given courses and lectures in Translation, Corpus-based research and Dental English at Universities, Congresses, in Brazil and abroad. She is Adjunct Director and has also been working in the Scientific Committee of Revista Confluências (www.confluencias.net). She belongs to Grupo Comet (http://www.fflch.usp.br/dlm/comet/).
