Peter Linton A/ITI

Peter is a 'late converter' to translation (since 2001). He was born (and brought up bilingually) in Sweden, and is the brother of Martin Linton MP, the host at the House of Commons dinner.

Peter studied Modern Languages at school and university in the UK. After a lifetime in other careers, mainly journalism (BBC Radio News) followed by IT (consultant on e-commerce projects), and completing two postgraduate translation degrees, he became a full-time translator, from Swedish or German to English. He also gives talks at ITI Professional Development Courses and elsewhere on becoming a translator, and on computer tools for translators.
