Nia Griffith MP to open ITI Conference 2017

We are delighted to announce that Nia Griffith MP will be with us in Cardiff on Friday 19 May 2017 to open the ITI Conference. Before becoming an MP in 2005, Nia Griffith spent 20 years teaching languages in comprehensive schools, and five years as Estyn inspector and local authority adviser for modern languages and European awareness. She has been a chief examiner for GCSE and A level Italian. As well as contributing to the Italian textbook Ciao, she has also written 100 ideas
for teaching languages.

Nia has continued to take an interest in languages in parliament, and currently co-chairs the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Modern Languages.
