Hi! My name’s Nick Ives. I hold a BA in French and German from Queen Mary, University of London and an MA in Translation Studies from UCL. I’ve been working in the translation industry for just under two-and-a-half years, and have been in my current role at Surrey Translation Bureau for just over a year.

I am the company’s translation editor, so the majority of my time at work is spent revising, editing and proofreading, but I do manage to fit in some translation from time to time. I mainly work from German into English.

My spare time is mostly taken up watching or playing football (I’m a keen Saints fan!) and producing electronic music.

This will be my first time at the conference (and also in Newcastle) and I am very excited to be attending along with three of my colleagues. Please come and visit our stand and say hello!
