WHAT TO EXPECT

With over 80 delegates signed up for the Conference Tweet Up on the Thursday evening (post-masterclasses), the social side will be off to a big start! There is still time to sign up on the Facebook event page or simply drop us a line at contact@iti-conference.org.uk and we will add you to the guest list.

When? Thursday 23 April from 6.15 to 7.30 p.m.lights and room shot

Where? 467 CLUB, part of Bonbar at the Assembly Rooms, Fenkle Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 5XU

Who? Masterclass attendees, conference speakers and delegates

What? Networking | Q&A panel on using social media for business | Prize competition

Why? This is your chance to put faces to names you know online, make new acquaintances fast, reconnect with old friends and/or find dinner companions.

GETTING THERE

The venue is right in the city centre near the main train station and approx. 15-20 minutes’ walk from the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead. Alternatively, you can take a short bus or taxi ride over the bridge.

There will be plenty of people heading over from the masterclasses or from registering in the afternoon so there should be opportunities to share taxis. If you would like to walk with someone who knows the way, meet Stephen Powley in the Hilton lobby at 5.45 p.m.

If you are new to tweeting and would like some help getting started with twitter ready for the main conference or have other questions about using social media for business, you are welcome to stay on at the 467 Club with our friendly Tweet Up team. They will be running an informal tech clinic and dining there.

For ideas on where else to eat and drink in Newcastle, see /2015/01/15/where-to-eat-drink-in-newcastle/

As if that were not enough encouragement to join the Tweet Up, we expect to have some expert special guests joining us for the short Q&A!

    1. Hello Louise. Yes, you are booked. All the information about this event, including attendees is on the Event section of the Conference Facebook page.

  1. Are there really 75 people going to the Bonbar? That’s how many people appear to have signed up to the Facebook event so far.

    1. Hi Gillian, there’s over 80 people going to the Tweet Up so far, and hopefully more will sign up between now and then. Please note this event does not include a meal and the idea is that people will meet up at the Tweet Up and then head off into town for dinner in smaller groups.
