Olá!

My name is Paula Ribeiro and I am a Portuguese freelance technical translator (EN, FR, ES to PT) I specialise in IT, power electronics, robotics in the form of hardware, software and user manuals; Marketing documents and technical specifications are also part of my portfolio, since 1997 – the year I was lost in translation for the first time.

I have organised and attended some translator’s events but the ITI Conference is something I wanted to experience for quite some time – and 2015 is the right moment! Recently (February 4, to be more exact) I have joined efforts with 6 colleagues and we have created APTRAD, the Portuguese Association for Translators and Interpreters, which was long due and missed by the Portuguese professional community.

In a few weeks I will be meeting some old friends and making new ones to carry back home photos of smiles, great moments and above all, new ideas!
